Where are the patients?

If you find yourself asking this question- the answer is online.
Ninety -four million Americans are online everyday, and 64% of them use the Internet as their primary way to search for local businesses.

As a hygienist chances are you don't have a lot of input into your offices marketing plan assuming there is one.
But there are a few simple suggestions that you could make or steps  you could take that will increase your offices Internet presence resulting in more patients.

  • Google Places- claim your office! Whether or not your office has a website information about your office will be found when people search it online. By claiming your office on google (its free) and entering as much information as possible you will increase your offices searchability. When you register you will have to enter your offices phone number and you will receive a call instantly with a code that you will need to register- make sure you are at the office and can answer the phone, or select the option to receive the code in the mail.
  • Register your office on sites such as Yelp and Angie's List
  • Start a Facebook fan page for your office
A great website that searches well (this would most likely require a professional) would be worth your doctors marketing money, but if that is easier said then done look into ways to get a website up and running for next to nothing- search online for companies like Web.com
