Here are links to info and forms that may help you file for unemployment:

  • Your employer needs to fill THIS waiver out to show that your unemployment will be temporary and exempts you from needing to look for employment in order to receive benefits.
       (Under reasoning for
not looking for work write "temporary
         COVID-19 seperation".)
  • It is recommended that you fill out the online application that can be found HERE
**Do not go to the physical Michigan Works office, they are closed**

- If you filed for unemployment prior to 3/16 you will want to call and schedule to talk to a representative so they can modify your claim  so you can be waived for the work search requirments.

- You do have to certify via MiWAM or MARVIN every 2 weeks
